About Us

A Legacy of Innovation and Excellence

Since our inception in 1945 as Great Lakes Manufacturing in Cleveland, Ohio, AeroControlex has been at the forefront of aerospace engineering. Our long history is defined by a steadfast commitment to precision, reliability, and progress. From our early days crafting hydraulic, fuel, lubrication, and coolant pumps, we quickly established ourselves as a trusted partner in the aerospace and defense industries. Over the decades, our passion for quality and innovation has seen us evolve, adapt, and push the boundaries of what’s possible in aerospace technology.

One of our most significant milestones came in 1993, when we expanded our product offerings to include mechanical actuators—a move that contributed to our reputation for versatile and high-quality components. With more than 50 years of expertise in control cable design and manufacturing, AeroControlex has delivered solutions that consistently power a wide range of commercial and military platforms. Today, we continue to build on our rich heritage by embracing cutting-edge design, advanced manufacturing, and rigorous quality control processes. Our enduring legacy is a testament to our commitment to engineering excellence, ensuring that every component we produce not only meets but exceeds the industry’s most stringent standards.
